Coachella 2023 Takes Over Fortnite: Here's Everything About Festivities, Cosmetics

The ever-popular Coachella festival is making another splash in Fortnite's virtual world this year.

Partnering with Epic Games, Alliance Studios has created Coachella Island, a music lover's paradise, and it is available from April 14 at 3 PM ET until April 28, at 12 PM ET. Check out this Eurogamer article to check out the schedule based on your time zone.

Splash Into Fortnite Coachella Island

Coachella Island is chock full of fun and challenging activities and quests that will test players' parkour skills and minigame abilities.

With two weekends of Coachella in mind, players can expect an update to the Coachella Quests, which will occur from weekend one to weekend two.

Coachella Island is also home to Porter Robinson's songs, and players can enter Coachella Island via Discover or island code 5449-4207-1280. And even though the festival may end, the island remains open to players.

Coachella Quests and Exciting Special Items

Those who complete the Coachella Quests will earn XP and other special items for their Locker.

These items include the Hi-Fi Cacti Spray, Look At The Sky Lobby Track, and Cact-eye Emoticon, which are obtainable from either set of Quests. On the other hand, the Coachella Sunset Spray can only be obtained from the second set of Quests.

Fortnite Coachella Challenge

In addition to the Coachella Quests, there is the Fortnite x Coachella Challenge. Players are required to complete an in-game task that can be found on the Fortnite x Coachella website.

This challenge will have players going on a road trip in Battle Royale or Zero Build, and it runs until April 23, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET. Successfully completing the challenge will earn players the Coachella Island Loading Screen.

Fortnite Good Vibes 2023 Fortography

Good Vibes 2023 Fortography encourages players to share their experiences on Coachella Island by submitting screenshots with the #Fortography hashtag on Twitter and the "Fortography" post flair on r/FortNiteBR.

Submissions are open until April 18, and selected submissions will be showcased on Coachella Island between April 21 and April 28, 2023.

Fornite Icon Radio Now Playing

But the fun does not end there! In addition to Coachella Island, players can listen to Icon Radio on the Battle Royale Island to enjoy a variety of songs from Coachella 2023's featured artists until May 12.

The festival also features two new outfits in the Item Shop: the Sunset Alto and Desert Dawn Lyric Outfits. The Sunset Alto Outfit includes the Sunset Swirl Back Bling and the Crystalline Cactus Pickaxe, while the Desert Dawn Lyric Outfit has the Airflow Vibes Back Bling and the Electropalm Staff Pickaxe.

Both outfits come with an Aurora Visualizer alt Style that is music-reactive, and the reactive Desert Breeze Wrap causes the player's loadout to react to the music as well.

However, it is important to note that Coachella Island has flashing lights. For players with a history of photosensitivity, it is recommended to consult a doctor before entering Coachella Island and immediately discontinue if they experience any discomfort.
