Latest from Fortnite
Epic Games has recently announced a new PC application called Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
UEFN is designed for developing and publishing games and experiences directly into Fortnite. Epic Games will jointly develop this toolset alongside independent creators and developers worldwide.
UEFN is based on Unreal Engine, a toolset professional game developers use to create games that can be played on multiple platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, PC, and Mac.
UEFN is currently available for public beta testing and will feature most of the same tools available in Unreal Engine in due time.
One of the most exciting aspects of UEFN is its ability to work alongside Fortnite's existing Creative toolset. Teams of creators can work together across PC and console to develop and test islands in real-time.
Furthermore, UEFN provides various games and experiences ranging from highly stylized cel-shaded team combat to ultra-realistic sims, playable directly inside the Fortnite application.
