The new LinkedIn verification feature is unlike Twitter and Meta since it is free!
While Elon Musk threatened Twitter users so that they would subscribe to the new Twitter Blue, LinkedIn decided to introduce free verification options.
LinkedIn explained that they are rolling out three additional verification methods since authenticity matters to them.
"On LinkedIn, when you show that you're the real you, you'll have an even greater chance of finding the professional opportunities that matter to you and your community," said the social media platform in its official blog post.
New LinkedIn Verification Feature is Completely FREE!
According to Tech Crunch's latest report, one of the new verification of LinkedIn is through CLEAR, a reliable identity platform.
The social media company said the CLEAR verification feature is being rolled out in the United States this April.
The second LinkedIn verification option is through users' company email addresses. This feature allows users to verify their workplace.
The third LinkedIn verification option is through the Microsoft Entra Verified ID platform. This will benefit organizations leveraging Microsoft Entra to issue digital workplace IDs to their staff.
New LinkedIn Verification Options are Better!
LinkedIn already has other verification methods, such as phone numbers and email addresses.
However, these methods don't provide users with verification badges.
This is why the employment-focused social media company decided to work on the three new verification options.
Unlike the first two methods, the three additional options will offer users badges so employers can easily see they are verified.
LinkedIn said that online verification should be available to all users without cost.
"We hope you're as excited to use these free features as we are, all in service to keeping your experience an authentic and trusted one," said LinkedIn Product Management VP Oscar Rodriguez
