The most-awaited "League of Legends" Project L is still in development, as confirmed by Riot Games Senior Director/Executive Producer Tom Cannon.
Riot Games made huge headlines in 2019 after it announced that it is developing the new Project L.
This new version of "LoL" was confirmed during an anniversary livestream during that year.
However, Riot Games didn't provide further updates in the following years. Since it has been more than four years, will the giant game creator finally share new details about Project L?
'League of Legends' Project L Still in Development
Redditor u/VADORANT shared a screenshot of Tom Cannon's announcement on Discord.
Sadly, Cannon said that Riot Games will not provide any new updates regarding the "League of Legends" Project L game at the upcoming EVO Japan 2023.
But, he said that they are still working on the online title; looking for new talents to help them continue its development.
"Without saying the size of the team, I can say that I'm incredibly happy with the talent that we have, and we're still hiring," said the Riot Games senior director.
For those who are not familiar with the EVO Japan event, it is the premier fighting game competition.

What is 'LoL' Project L?
The "League of Legends" Project L game is an upcoming fighting online game that will have an assist-based/tag team system.
This means that it will be similar to the "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3," "BlazeBlue: Cross Tag Battle," "Street Fighter x Tekken," etc.
As of press time, information about Project L is still limited. But, LoL Fandom reported that it will have six champions at its initial launch.
These include Illaoi, Jinx, Katarina, Ahri, Darius, and Ekko.
Aside from the new Project L game, Riot Games also focuses on other game enhancements to improve gamer experiences.
Recently, gaming experts said that the "League of Legends" is more newbie-friendly this 2023 due to effective in-game enhancements.
