Counter-Strike 2 Will Have Customizable Announcers: Valve Leak

Counter-Strike 2 will reportedly include a customizable feature that will allow players to select their preferred announcer via the game's settings, leaks suggest.

As first reported by Dotesports, the feature will come with announcer packs, as seen in Valve's hit MOBA title Dota 2.

The addition of customizable announcers is sure to bring excitement to the Counter-Strike community since, it not only allows players to choose between male and female announcers, but it also opens the door for Valve to collaborate with popular broadcasters and possibly other packs featuring iconic announcer packs such as "Rick and Morty" in Dota 2.

Now imagine hearing: "Jeez, the bomb has been planted, Rick." But of course, many gamers will be pulling for popular broadcasters such as Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill and Alex "Machine" Richardson.

Announcer Features Spotted in CS2 Code

While the feature has already been coded into CS2, as spotted by several users, it is not yet available in the limited test that is in place.

Dotesports notes that it is scheduled to be available when the game is released globally this summer, offering players the option to choose between the standard announcer, the classic announcer from CS:GO, a new masculine announcer, and a new female announcer.

Fueled by excitement because of the newly announced game, the community has already begun requesting more customization options from Valve. Some players are demanding the Team Fortress 2 announcer or a Snoop Dogg announcer pack, similar to what was included in Call of Duty.

Valve has not officially confirmed the addition of customizable announcers to Counter-Strike 2. However, reports indicate that this feature will be available at launch. As the game's release date approaches, more details will be released, such as what announcer packs will be available and who will provide the iconic voices.
