ChatGPT experienced another outage a few days after its successor, GPT-4, was released by OpenAI.
This is not the first time that OpenAI's artificial intelligence model experienced issues.
In February, the tech firm experienced a major outage that affected its ChatGPT, Playground, Labs, and API.
Unlike the recent outages, the latest ChatGPT downtime is not really a severe issue. However, hundreds of users were still affected.
ChatGPT Down Update: Chatbot Back Online
According to Independent UK's latest report, many users complained that OpenAI is down; others said they couldn't access ChatGPT.
The issue began on Monday, Mar. 20, and was fixed on the same day. Down Detector provided the problems experienced by OpenAI users during the outage.
- 80% can't access ChatGPT.
- 12% can't log in to their ChatGPT account.
- 8% can't open OpenAI's website.
OpenAI's Status page also gave updates regarding the latest outage. The tech company said that its API only had a partial outage.
Meanwhile, its chat.openai.com experienced a major outage.
On the other hand, no outage was detected in OpenAI's Playground and Labs.
"This incident has been resolved," said OpenAI.
Twitter Users Made Fun of ChatGPT Outage
While many OpenAI users complained about the latest ChatGPT outage, some Twitter users made fun of the AI chatbot.
They posted numerous jokes partnered with the #chatgptdown.
One of them said that ChatGPT was down on Mar. 20. Because of this, he forgot how to do his job.
Another one stated that the ChatGPT outage happened because all people stopped using Google and are now relying on the AI chatbot.
