According to a report by Macrumors on Wednesday, March 15, the new sensors that will be introduced to Apple's iPhone 15 will boast a higher quality compared to the usual sensors.

By collaborating with Sony, the image sensors will be able to capture more light from the subject. These will trim down the overexposure and underexposure of the image.

Nikkei Asia says that Sony's image sensors will be designed for the iPhone's main camera which will likely be called a "wide" camera. In addition, it relies on a semiconductor architecture that separates the layers of transistors from photodiodes.

Will all iPhone 15 models get this camera sensor upgrade?

At this point, Apple has not revealed if all iPhone 15 models will welcome Sony's image sensors. There's a chance that it might only be available to the Pro variants yet it still remains as a mystery until there's no confirmation from the company.

We can remember that the periscope telephoto camera will be exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro Max. This feature will allow users to zoom an object six times the usual size.

This only leaves a clear conclusion to the high-end models that they could get this advanced image sensor technology in the next few months or so.

iPhone 15 Design Leak

In another story by Forbes, a new leak about the iPhone 15 has surfaced online. Reliable tipster yeux112 says that the new handset will be more expensive than iPhone 14, but with more advanced specs.

What's more, the iPhone 15 will get a high refresh rate which could reach 120Hz. However, some reports suggest that the company will limit the "Promotion" displays because of marketing and implementation changes.

Apple might be searching for effective solutions to avoid easy battery drain when ProMotion is set like in the case of having LTPO panels.

Upcoming Apple Products in 2023

Aside from the much-awaited iPhone 15, CNET reports that Apple might also release its dedicated AR/VR headset that can compete with Meta's Quest Pro.

Other than that, we also expect that the Apple Watch Series 9, a brand-new iMac model, M2 Ultra-equipped Mac Pro, and a 15-inch MacBook Air will likely debut this year.

Of course, these products are still part of the rumors and leaks that keep on popping out. There's no assurance that each of them will be available in the market in the next few months. Only Apple knows what's the next plan for its upcoming product releases.
