A new Apple iPhone 15 Pro image leak gives us a glimpse of its USB-C port, which rumors as early as now have been consistently suggesting.
Early reports are saying that the next-generation iPhone is finally ditching Lightning cables. And now, its long-awaited USB-C port has seen the light of day.
Apple iPhone Pro 15 USB-C Port Leaked Image
It looks like the iPhone maker is now working on replacing the Lightning cable on its next-generation flagship device, the iPhone 15 series, in favor of the widely used USB-C type.
As early as now, we are getting a first glimpse of what appears to be a prototype of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro.
As per a report by 9to5 Mac, a new image leak allegedly gives us the first-ever glimpse of the new USB-C port.
There is not much to see actually. In fact, it actually looks a lot like the Lightning provision we have been seeing for years from afar. But in a closer look, it is like the charging port that most Android mobile devices are sporting these days.
Nevertheless, it is still interesting to look at how Apple plans to stuff a new port in lieu of its Lightning option.
The USB-C port sits on the middle bottom of the alleged iPhone 15 Pro. On its left and right sides, the tech giant included screws and holes for its speakers.
9to5 Mac notes that it looks a lot like the layout that the iPhone 14 Pro sports nowadays. But at a glance, the new charging port might catch your attention due to the new USB-C provision.
iPhone's New Titanium Look
On top of that, the leaked image showcases a brushed metal look for the alleged iPhone 15 Pro.
It is worth noting that the alleged leaked photo of the next-gen Apple flagship only shows us the bottom part of the device. But despite that, it still gives us a glimpse of the overall design changes in the upcoming smartphone.
Mac Rumors notes in its new story that the leaked image corroborates early reports pointing out the new titanium look. So it seems that Apple is gearing up to ditch the stainless steel chassis for the iPhone 15 Pro.
By the looks of it, the brushed metal design hints that it comes with a titanium finish. Besides the new material, the leaked image suggests a new deeper curve in the next-gen iPhone.
But do take this with a grain of salt. Apple has yet to confirm these design changes.
Although the leaked image only allegedly featured the iPhone 15 Pro, the new USB-C port is reportedly coming to the whole lineup, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
