The upcoming iPhone 15 base model might not have the advanced always-on display and ProMotion features of Apple.
If this really happens, then it would have the same scenario that its predecessor experienced.
In 2022, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were the only models that support the ProMotion and always-on display features.
Now, based on the latest rumors, it seems like Apple fans who will purchase the iPhone 15 models would experience dejavu.
New iPhone 15 Will Not Have Always-On Display, ProMotion?
According to MacRumors' latest report, the Korean Naver news aggregator account yeux1122 claimed that the always-on display and ProMotion will also be exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro models.

This means that the standard iPhone 15 will not have these advanced features.
"Only the Pro Series supports the LTPO 120 refresh rate, and the basic regular Plus model does not have that in the requirements," said the tech blogger via his official post.
Although this is the case, many tech enthusiasts believe that the non-Pro iPhone 15 models will still be integrated with a more power-efficient OLED display.
This screen is expected to have a driver chip manufactured based on a 28nm process, allowing the display to have reduced power consumption.
iPhone 15 to Arrive This 2023
The new iPhone 15 lineup is expected to be launched by Apple around September.
This estimated release date is based on the tech manufacturer's recent launch timeline.
Of course, this can still change depending on the final decision of the iPhone maker.
Although it's still months before the new iPhone 15's arrival, many tech enthusiasts and critics already shared possible features the new models could have.
