Apple iPhone 15 render suggests that the Dynamic Island feature, which is currently exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro lineup, is coming to non-Pro models once the next-generation flagship debuts this 2023.
Although the upcoming iPhone 15 series has yet to see the light of day later this year, early leaks are now giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming Apple flagship lineup.
One of the most notable changes in the iPhone 15 render is the availability of the Dynamic Island feature, suggesting that it will be available for the entire lineup. It might arrive in the standard iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Meanwhile, rumors suggest that Apple is considering adding a new iPhone 15 Ultra variant.
Apple iPhone 15 Render Shows Off Dynamic Island
As per a report by 9to5 Mac, it has gotten its hands on the 3D CAD files for the upcoming iPhone 15. It shows us some of the intricate design changes on the new Apple flagship.
The render that 9to5 Mac shared confirms that Apple is planning to bring the Dynamic Island feature to the standard iPhone 15 variant.
As Dynamic Island is slowly gaining more popularity these days with third-party apps gradually adopting the feature, it seems that Apple is expanding support for it.
It looks like the entire next-generation lineup is ditching the dated notch design in favor of the nifty Dynamic Island feature. With that, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus, if ever Apple decides to retain the latter, might sport a pill-shaped cutout on their display. It should house the front-facing selfie camera, alongside the Face ID sensors.
USB-C Shows Up in the iPhone 15 Render
Apart from the expansion of Dynamic Island, the render also shows the arrival of USB-C ports to iPhones.
According to XDA Developers, the next-generation Apple flagship is rumored to feature the more widely-used USB-C port, finally ditching the Lightning cable for iPhones. The new option is not only more versatile as it works on various devices, but it also brings faster charging and data transfer performance.
The render also suggests that the Cupertino-based tech giant is retaining the two rear camera setup for its non-Pro models.
However, do take these leaks with a grain of salt. The renowned phone maker has yet to confirm such changes to the rumored iPhone 15 series. And as such, plans might still take another route along the way.
