Twitter Algorithm Hack: Going Private Boosts Reach, Visibility Significantly—Elon Musk is Bothered

There is something going on on Twitter, and Mr. Tweet is not informed.

A new thread is now controversial on Twitter because it talks about an "algorithm hack," one where it can help boost one's visibility and reach factor significantly by going private. This caught the attention of Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, who was bothered by what is happening on the platform which means that this was not an intentional algorithm.

It is unknown if Twitter will change this on social media or keep it, but it seems like for now, this is an ongoing hack, as per the influencer.

Twitter Algorithm Hack: Boosts Reach, Visibility Significantly

Influencer and games streamer Ian Miles Cheong has posted a massive thread on Twitter, and it talked about how one can improve their "reach factor" by five percent on social media. This "hack" is through changing one's privacy settings in their accounts, and this brings significant visibility to the feed for anyone trying to boost their presence.

Cheong claimed that it brings "zero algorithmic disruption" to one's account, and he made a test to look if this hack was legit.

He claimed that within the 5-minute time frame of the test, he gained 20 new followers, but was not able to distinguish if these accounts were bots.

The influencer also shared statistics of the tweets sent in both public and private setups, showing how going private boosts the reach.

Elon Musk Bothered by this Twitter Hack

Chief Twit replied to Cheong's thread, and his reaction showed that he was bothered by what is happening on social media. He said that this is "extremely concerning," but did not discuss further steps regarding what to do in this internal fiasco.

Twitter Feature

There are many Twitter features available on the platform, as well as hacks to make one's account better or reach a massive audience to improve usage and visibility. One of the most recent changes in the app was separating the Following page and the "For You" feeds, and the new algorithm centers on delivering recommended tweets from the Twitter world.

In terms of hacks and access, there is one controversial feature that allows engineers to tweet whenever they like and pose as an account that they can completely access. This was revealed to be the "GodMode" on social media and an ex-employee claimed that this feature was only renamed but was not taken down even in the Musk era.

Ranking for social media platforms is something that influencers, marketers, and strategists work on a daily basis to expand their reach and visibility online. However, there seems to be a hack as per Cheong, and Musk is completely concerned about this alleged "hack" to change the way one is presented online, but it is unknown if the CEO will do something about it.
