Bungie, the developer of "Destiny 2," gives users a free month of the GeForce Now game streaming service to entice them to use NVIDIA's GeForce Now service. This move is being made to steer "Destiny 2" players toward GeForce Now, Engadget reports.
The move comes after Google announced in September that it would be shutting down its Stadia service, which failed to gain traction with users and ultimately resulted in Google deciding to shut it down.
In an email obtained by 9to5Google, game developer Bungie has announced that they are offering free codes for a one-month membership to NVIDIA's high-performance cloud gaming platform, GeForce Now. The offer is for a priority membership, which includes 1080p gaming, 6-hour session lengths, and up to 60fps refresh rates.
Stadia and GeForce Now
Because Destiny 2 was featured prominently in marketing for Stadia and GeForce Now on various devices, so it was an obvious choice for inclusion in the game streaming service.
The offer from Bungie comes with a one-of-a-kind code that users can redeem for a free month of GeForce Now priority membership. This membership entitles the user to play games at a resolution of up to 1080p for up to six hours at a time and up to 60 frames per second.

This is not the first time that game studios have stepped in to assist with the transition of games from Stadia to other services.
Other game developers have also offered players incentives to switch platforms, such as free months of subscription or exclusive in-game items.
Codes are Valid Until February 19
The GeForce Now service recently added an Ultimate membership tier with an RTX 4080 boost, which provides 4K resolutions, 8-hour sessions, and up to 120 frames per second for $20 per month or $100 for six months. This is a significant upgrade for players looking for the best gaming experience possible.
Users must redeem the code by February 19, so Destiny 2 players should take advantage of this offer before it expires.
The free month of GeForce Now priority membership is an excellent opportunity for players to try out the service and determine whether it is a good fit for their gaming needs.
Google Stadia Controller Bluetooth Support
Google Stadia is ending its cloud gaming services for everyone, but this does not render any purchased Stadia controller useless or obsolete. The renowned internet company promised a Bluetooth mode update for Stadia controllers last week, and it is now available for everyone to install and configure.
There is a control on the website for the Stadia controller where users can download the Bluetooth mode feature to use their gaming pads on other platforms or consoles.
Chrome 108 or later is required for users to install this update for their controllers and continue without Stadia.
