Google Pixel 7a hands-on video has leaked, confirming that the upcoming budget Android phone features a 90Hz refresh rate display.
While the leaked video revealed that the 7a looks closely to 6a, it likely sports an upgraded display. So it appears that the highly-requested feature is on its way to the upcoming A-series Pixel device.

As per the latest report by Android Central, the Google Pixel 7a hands-on video, which leaked online, disclosed that the high-requested feature is coming to the upcoming Android mobile device.
After the render images of the budget device leaked last year, we are greeted with what looks to be a hands-on video in time for the new year in 2023. It gives us a better glimpse of what to expect from the rumored A-series Pixel phone.
Android Central reports that a Facebook group in Vietnam leaked what appears to be a hands-on video of the unreleased smartphone.
Interestingly, the short clip mirrors the leaked renders of the Pixel 7a, further suggesting what the phone might look like once it sees the light of day. It looks a lot like the Pixel 6a. So it seems that the glossy plastic finish is staying.
According to Engadget, the language of the device in the leaked video is in the Vietnamese language. It makes sense as the budget-friendly phones of Google are made in Vietnam.
Aside from the overall design of the device, the video also revealed the refresh rate capabilities of the upcoming A-series Pixel.
90Hz Refresh Rate Display
The phone in the leaked hands-on video sports a "Smooth Display feature. It allows the device to automatically vary its refresh rate from the standard 60Hz to a smoother 90Hz rating.
It is important to note that the current budget-friendly Pixel only supports up to 60Hz refresh rate. The leak confirms that an upgraded display, which has been highly requested, is on its way to the upcoming 7a.
Engadget notes in its story that the debut of the Pixel 7a might still be months away from now. The tech news website says that Google typically introduces its new smartphones during its I/O event. So the upcoming budget-friendly Android device might officially see the light of day in May 2023.
So the hands-on video is way ahead of the official announcement from Google.
It seems that the tech giant is already gearing up for the release of its upcoming device months before its launch.
