Google Pixel Plan: Leaked Roadmap Shows Major Changes Until 2025

Here's what Google Pixel fans can expect for the next three years.

A reliable online leak reveals Google's major changes on their smartphone roadmap for 2023 to 2025.

The introduction of the Pixel 6 and its improved successor, the Pixel 7 series, contributed to the growth of Google's smartphone industry in recent years.

Now, a recent leak first reported by Android Authority claims that the Google Pixel roadmap for the following three years has now been revealed.

Google to Launch First Foldable Pixel

Additionally, GSM Arena reports that in 2024, there will also be a brand-new foldable, which is speculated to be codenamed "felix," although only a few details have been revealed about the phone. Speculations reveal that Google may still be holding out to see how the Pixel Fold is received.

Although these features have yet to be confirmed, previous rumors have claimed that the 7a will support wireless charging and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Depending on how effective or unsuccessful Google's strategy will be for 2023 and 2024 proves to be, the corporation may choose other paths for 2025. If the flip-style foldable Google is "toying" with becomes a reality, it will debut in the fall of 2025 alongside the three slab Pixels of that year (there will still be three of them like in 2024).

If the leaks prove to be true, the Google foldable phone will compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series if it retails for the previously reported $1,799 price. However, if the flip phone doesn't materialize, tech fans will most likely see four non-folding Pixels, including a regular model in small and large sizes and a Pro variation in both sizes.

Leaked Google Pixel Roadmap: Here's What to Expect Until 2025

The leak has several claims that users can expect for years until 2025. According to News18, Google will reportedly introduce the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, two new smartphones in its mainstream series, later in 2023.

According to the insider, there will not be many notable differences between these phones and the Pixel 7 series. The Pixel 8, which is codenamed "shiba", will have a smaller display and a smaller overall form factor, which is one major change that has occurred. Meanwhile, Husky, or the Pixel 8 Pro, will, however, have the same display and dimensions as the Pixel 7 Pro.

Last but not least, the smartphone with the codename "zuma" will debut with the Pixel 8 series, which Google will almost probably advertise as Tensor G3.

Additionally, Google will reportedly maintain the same cost for the Pixel 7a, which entails a $449 suggested retail price to match the Pixel 6a. Thus, the 7a would have various improvements over its predecessor, including wireless charging and a 90Hz refresh rate, according to earlier rumors.

However, without any official confirmation from Google, tech fans should still take these online leaks with a grain of salt.
