Google Pixel 7a looks a lot like what we saw with the Pixel 7 series, leaked renders of the upcoming budget device suggest.
Although the next A-series Pixel is an upgrade from the Pixel 6a, it looks similar to the current Pixel 7 lineup.
Google Pixel 7a Design Leaked Renders Suggest Similar Looks to Pixel 7
As per the latest news story by 9to5 Google, a leaked render of the upcoming Pixel 7a by OnLeak suggests that the upcoming budget device looks closely to the current flagship series.
The news outlet notes that the renders highly hint that the search giant is looking to bring the Pixel 7 design to its budget A series. Given that, it is quite an upgrade for the much-cheaper line.
The dimensions of the Pixel 7a is reportedly slightly larger than the Pixel 6a. The upcoming mobile device is said to measure 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0mm and 10.1mm for the camera module.
It is not a drastic upsize from its predecessor. 9to5 Google reports that the next-generation A-series device is likely to be 2mm taller than the previous offerings. It is also .1mm thicker and 1.1mm wider.
So from afar, you might not actually notice the change, except when you compare the two devices side-by-side.
The camera bar of the 7a series ditches the glass covering. And instead, it now rocks the same metal design that the Pixel 7 lineup sported.
However, it is worth noting that it remains to be seen if it is actually a metal material or plastic that only resembles one. After all, the A-series is way cheaper. So these cost-saving methods are expected right off the bat.
Other than these changes, there are not many updates based on the new leaked renders. But do take this with a grain of salt as the renowned tech giant has yet to unveil its upcoming Pixel A device.
Pixel 7a: the Next Budget Smartphone of Google
Apart from the rumored foldable phone of Google, the Pixel Fold, consumers are now waiting for its next budget device, presumably the Pixel 7a.
According to a recent report by CNET, the A series is the more affordable offering of Google, essentially a cheaper alternative than its flagship release.
The tradition of A-series phones is to feature mostly the same performance as the flagship. However, it is made of cheaper material, mostly plastic.
CNET states that rumor has it that the Pixel 7a comes with a 90 Hz display and the Tensor G2.
