Amazon Echo Trick: Reward Your Delivery Driver With $5 Tip For Each 'Thank You' You Received—Here's How

Giving a little amount to drivers won't hurt this Christmas.

Amazon is allowing the customers to give a simple present to the delivery drivers ahead of Christmas.

According to a report by Fortune, the e-commerce giant has recently unveiled the "Alexa, thank my driver" program which will allow them to give $5 tip to the service workers.

The company launched the program amid several job cuts connected to the popular voice assistant.

With some workers spending the holidays working outside, it's understandable why others choose to work despite the busy schedule. Some people badly need money to keep up with the rising prices of commodities amid the inflation spike.

It's important to consider their feelings given the nature of their work. Per an article by CNET, customers can now give the drivers a $5 tip for every thank you that they will receive.

This simple gesture does not consume a lot of time, since it can be finished in less than a minute. Amazon has a lot of surprises for the customers and delivery drivers for this special occasion.

How to Give $5 Tip to Amazon Driver

This trick won't work if you don't have Alexa-enabled devices at home including Amazon Echo and the like. All you need to do is to instruct the digital AI assistant to say "Alexa, thank my driver."

After speaking this command, the driver who recently went to your house to deliver your goods will be alerted by this note. Each thank you will be worth $5. It will only be limited to the first one million thank you's.

To even motivate other customers to say thank you, Amazon is taking this program to the next level by giving a higher incentive for the first five drivers who will garner the most number of thank you appreciations.

The reward that's waiting for them will be $10,000. Additionally, they get to choose a charity that they want to help and Amazon will give $10,000 for the selected nonprofit.

Are All Delivery Drivers Covered by the $5 Tip?

Amazon clarified that not all drivers will be covered by the program. Specifically, it will only be applicable to HuB DP drivers, delivery associates under Amazon Delivery Service, and Flex delivery partners.

Other deliveries which will be processed outside won't be covered by the "Alexa, thank my driver" program. These include UPS, FedEX, USPS, and more.

Will There Be a Follow-Up Reward Reaching 1 Million Thank Yous?

Since the program aims to only hit its goal of 1 million appreciation from the customers, Amazon will stop giving monetary incentives after reaching the milestone.

It's too early to say that the program will be finished shortly. Until there's time left for this promo, don't forget to thank your Amazon drivers for the daily service that they do during holidays.
