Ever wonder who exactly is recording all those killcam clips you see every time you die in a match of Call of Duty?
That's the clever idea behind the latest live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, this time promoting the game's upcoming Havoc DLC pack by introducing Randall Higgins, "KillCameraman" extraordinaire.
Where there is virtual bloodshed, Randall Higgins is there. Get a clutch headshot to win the match? Randall Higgins is there over your shoulder, recording it all. Get gunned down from the skies by an enemy aircraft? Randall Higgins is filming that too, strapped to the bottom of plane for the best possible killcam footage. Whether hiding in Christmas trees to capture spectacular avalanche carnage or keeping close to the action to record some explosive grenade kills, Higgins is there for it all.
But in all of Higgins' years on the job, he's never seen anything quite like exo-suit wearing zombies, which will be introduced come Tuesday when the Havoc DLC hits Xbox Live. Unlike on The Walking Dead, these zombies don't seem to care if you cover yourself in zombie guts. They'll sniff you out anyways.
It's all completely ridiculous and over the top, just as we've come to expect from Call of Duty's live-action trailers over the past few years. Activision even hired Captain America himself, Chris Evans, to star in a live-action ad for the China only Call of Duty: Online. All this begs the question -- when is the live-action Call of Duty movie coming out? For all the money Activision is spending on these lavish ads, it sure seems like it would be easy to find the budget for one.
