Qualcomm is set to share some good news for Android users in the upcoming Snapdragon Summit during the reveal of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
As the Snapdragon Summit approaches, tech moguls can expect announcements of next-gen technology in mobile, 5G, and gaming. Marketed by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon is a suite of systems on a chip (SoC) embedded in devices of various systems, including Android and Windows phones.
Snapdragon took to its official Twitter to announce the upcoming summit in Hawaii, which will take place on Nov. 15 and 16. Additionally, the event will have a Livestream on their official site.

Qualcomm To Reveal Big News in Upcoming Snapdragon Summit
Android users can expect good news from the Summit as Qualcomm unveils its next-generation Snapdragon processors, giving Android a big boost.
Additionally, Express UK reports that the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be the chosen processor for the Samsung Galaxy S23. Samsung will allegedly be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in their new device rather than the split Qualcomm and Exynos chip in their previous S devices.
In a recent investors call, Qualcomm head Christiano Amon confirmed that news of the next-generation Snapdragon would be announced alongside a partnership with Samsung.
"I think we're going to announce our next-generation Snapdragon at our Tech Summit in a couple of weeks. I think what we see right now is, structurally, we're very well positioned." Qualcomm head Christiano Amon stated. "In handsets, we entered into a new multiyear agreement with Samsung, expanding the use of Snapdragon platforms for future premium Samsung Galaxy products globally."
However, users should still take the speculations with a grain of salt as Samsung is yet to officially confirm the news regarding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, although Qualcomm has made huge hints about the upgrade this year, according to Android Police.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2: What We Know So Far
Qualcomm is known for bringing better features as a part of its Snapdragon upgrades, particularly with camera technology. Additionally, Express UK reports that Android users can expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to be more efficient in prolonging the battery life of devices.
9to5Mac also reports that the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is rumored to include Arm's new Cortex-X3 core, four Cortex-A715 cores, as well as three Cortex-A510 cores. Mobile gaming may also receive a boost with smoother animations and lower latency from the next-generation chip, as well as quicker 5G download speeds for a more stable connection.
Aside from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23, GSM Arena also reports that the Vivo iQOO 11 will also be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. As of now, details about the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor are still limited, but full details will be revealed during the Snapdragon Summit on Nov. 15 and 16.
