Silent Hill Transmission

After accidental leaks and endless rumors, Konami finally released several details regarding The Silent Hill 2 and its comeback as a PlayStation exclusive, as reported by Kotaku. This was announced during the Silent Hill Transmission in Japan, live-streamed on Silent Hill's official YouTube channel.

The Transmission was led by Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. Producer Motoi Okamoto, and Concept Artist Masahiro Ito. As per the report, the game is currently available on the wishlist on PlayStation 5 and it is currently being developed by Bloober Team. Silent Hill 2 will be exclusive to PlayStation and PC for 12 months after launch.

Silent Hill: Townfall

Along with Silent Hill 2, Konami also revealed three new games in the same universe, as reported by Engadget. One of these is Silent Hill: Townfall. This game comes from Annapurna Interactive and a studio in Glasgow named No Code, which is known for its strength in making good narratives and building a horror-themed world.

The teaser showcased a glimpse of what the fans will expect from the game. It featured an old television clipping through tense conversations and scenes that were disturbing to some. Among the released teasers, this might be Silent Hill's most traditional one.

Silent Hill: Ascension

Compared to the two, Ascension is the least game-like from the announcement as it will be an interactive streaming series. This will be featuring the entire community that shapes the canon of Silent Hill.

The most notable person in the creative team for this is the director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens J.J. Abrams. Comic Book reported that Ascension was not described exactly as a game, a movie, or a series. Rather, it is a mix of various media where the audience can watch and interact at the same time.

Silent Hill f

A new story set in 1960's in Japan is what Silent Hill f is all about, as IGN reported. This is currently in the works and being written by Japanese Visual Novel Writer Ryukishi07, which is known for the series like Higurashi and Umineko. The series is produced by Nintendo veteran Motoi Okamoto, the person behind Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin.

The eerie vibe of the trailer started when the Japanese town was immersed in some kind of fungus. It also showed a composed woman covered in the same fungus at the end of the trailer. Neobard is currently developing the game before its release, the same developers for Capcom's Resident Evil Re:Verse.
