'Silent Hill' New Game Rumors Start Spreading as Title Spotted on Korean Rating Site

Rumors of an upcoming "Silent Hill" game are starting to spread as the alleged game was spotted on a Korean rating site. Whether the listing was a mistake or a new "Silent Hill" game is in the works remains to be seen.

Fans of the 'Silent Hill' Franchise are Still Waiting for News on a Possible New Project

"Silent Hill" has long been one of the most popular horror series to exist and until this day, fans are still waiting for anything new from the series. Although it's been a while since any official news has popped up, rumors are still surfacing left and right.

These rumors, however, have not yet been confirmed and fans will have to wait for Konami or any other company involved in "Silent Hill" to break some official news. So far, all that fans have is speculations based on different posts or findings online but no word from the developer themselves.

Confusion Started to Spark as a Listing was Spotted on a Korean Rating Site

According to the story by PC Gamer, after a long period of speculation and leaks that have sparked widespread confusion, the future of the "Silent Hill" series has still remained a huge question. To add to the confusion, South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee might have given fans a peek at its future.

As uploaded on the Korean rating site, there will be something called "Silent Hill: The Short Message." Although the rating has been removed, it was initially picked up by Gematsu which was also able to connect the dots.

'Silent Hill' Listing had Uniana as the Publisher and Here's Why It Makes Sense

The report noted that Uniana was listed as the publisher of the "Silent Hill" project. This makes sense since Uniana was actually the publisher for a number of other Konami games that launched in Korea.

One thing that the rating did not include was the particular platforms that could be including the upcoming title. As per PC Gamer, the thing that makes the rating noteworthy is that it is actually the latest one of the baffling "Silent Hill" rumors.

Another Game was Mistakenly Thought to be a 'Silent Hill' Game

So far, it was noted that the rumors and leaks have not yet added to anything solid as of press time. This was despite rumors starting to spread as early as January 2020.

When rumors of two upcoming "Silent Hill" games were released in January 2020 Konami decided to shoot down the rumors. The article then noted that fans then convinced themselves that "Abandoned" was actually a brand new "Silent Hill" game as talked about in detail in an article by Game Rant.

Despite the assumptions by fans, Blue Box Studios, the developer of the game, repeatedly insisted that they were not a "Silent Hill" game. This is only one of the many rumors regarding the horror-series that have not yielded any fruit.
