Konami Confirms ‘Silent Hill’ is Returning — When is the Reveal Event?

The "Silent Hill" series is returning, Konami has confirmed.

The Japanese gaming firm also announced the date for its digital reveal event, the "Silent Hill Transmission."

Konami Confirms 'Silent Hill' is Coming Back

As per the latest report by Video Games Chronicle, fans of the "Silent Hill" series have anticipated its return for more than a year.

It is worth noting that speculations of the comeback of the series began spreading way back in 2020. It comes as no less than the original artist of "Silent Hill," Masahiro Ito, teased in his previous tweet that he was working on a new project.

The tweet of the "Silent Hill" artist says, "I'm working on a title as a scoring member." Ito adds that he hopes the upcoming project would not end up being canceled.

Given that the gaming title was still in its early stages during that time, he notes to his followers that "I can tell you nothing yet."

Since then, fans of the survival horror gaming series started anticipating for its much-awaited comeback.

Video Games Chronicle highlights in its report that the fans of the horror series got their hands on its last installment a decade ago or in 2012 when "Silent Hill: Downpour" first saw the light of day.

But this time, the renowned gaming firm has finally confirmed that "Silent Hill" is set to make its highly anticipated comeback.

The official Twitter account of the horror series tweets a teaser saying, "In your restless dreams, do you see that town?"

Apart from that, the gaming giant also disclosed the reveal event date for the much-awaited comeback of its survival horror adventure.

'Silent Hill' Reveal Event

Konami says that it plans to reveal the "latest updates" for its "Silent Hill" series this week in a digital event that goes by the name "Silent Hill" Transmission.

The Silent Hill Twitter account confirmed that the Japanese gaming firm is set to share the "latest updates" for the horror series this October.

Konami will be giving away the details for the return of the survival horror franchise on its "Silent Hill" Transmission event, which streams online starting at 2:00 PM Pacific Time (PDT) on October 19.

According to a recent report by Euro Gamer, the original artist of the horror series, Ito, has retweeted the confirmation of its reveal date.

The online gaming news outlet reports that a new "Silent Hill" title leaked from a video game rating board in South Korea last month. It hints that the new installment goes by the title "The Short Message.
