Cleaning your iPhone 14 comes with careful consideration and proper knowledge when it comes to the materials you will be needing.
From the iPhone 11 model up to the latest version, the technique stays the same, but it's quite different compared to the older models due to the difference in the display.
How to Clean Your iPhone 14
According to its official support page of Apple, iPhone 14 and the other advanced models have sensitive glass with a special textured matte finish. It's usually seen around the camera or at the rear part of the device.
You won't notice that for every use, your iPhone 14's glass becomes rough over time. If it rubs against the pocket of your denim or other items inside, a scratch could likely be the result. Still, you can remove it easily with a simple cleaning process.
In case there's a little scratch on your phone, make sure to clean it right away so it would be damage-free from ink, sand, dirt, and even acidic foods.
- First, unplug all the cables attached to your iPhone 14 and shut it down right away.
- Do not forget to use soft and lint-free cloth for cleaning. Dampen it a little bit.
- Make sure that every opening on your smartphone should be safe from dirt, dust, and other things that might enter.
- Refrain from using compressed air or other cleaning materials which could affect the quality of your iPhone's coating on the screen.

Is it Safe to Use a Disinfectant on your iPhone 14?
Apple says that you can use a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe. Even ethyl alcohol could do the magic for you. If you have any of these two, you can try Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, but make sure to gently clean your phone's screen.
It's not recommended to use any kind of bleach or even hydrogen peroxide. You should also stop submerging your iPhone in any cleaning liquids.
You should refrain from spraying the liquid directly on your device because in some cases, it enters without you knowing.
Before using your iPhone 14 once again, make sure to air-dry it so any remaining moisture will be removed.
How About Cleaning the iPhone Storage?
After cleaning the exterior part of your iPhone, it's now time to pay attention to its interior part. Cleaning its storage will require an iCloud service, but there's a trick that will save you some money from this subscription.
First, sort your files, photos, and documents. Make sure that your not-so-important files are in third-party cloud storage. For images and videos, you can store them in Google Photos.
You can also start to trim down apps that you don't use anymore. Just go to Settings and tap the General option. Once you're here, go to iPhone Storage to check your files.
