Ye is buying Parler, the famous "open for all" social media platform that holds no restrictions or bans for people posting anything, one that would normally violate Community Guidelines among others in the industry. This took place after the rapper formerly known as Kanye West got his accounts on Twitter and Instagram restricted for his controversial posts.
Parlament Technologies, Parler's parent company, is welcoming its new owner with open arms, saying that the artist is "uncancelable" with the platform.
Ye is Buying Parler and Gains Free Speech for his Needs
Parler's blog post confirmed that Ye is now buying the "free speech" social media and acquiring the company while, welcoming the rapper formerly known as Kanye West to lead its company. The company did not specify the amount that Ye is going to pay to acquire the company but said that West is already the "richest Black Man in history" with his achievements and businesses.
The company also announced that Ye already has a profile that users may follow via Parler, and his account was made only this October 18, during the announcement of his acquisition.
The rapper's account already amassed 11,500 followers and counting.
Parlament said that Ye will be their partner to promote free speech via Parler, offering the application for all to enjoy and express what they want.
Ye and Parler to Promote Free Speech Social Media
Parler said via Twitter that Ye's arrival on the platform and his leadership will ensure that no one will face cancelation from people and platforms available online. The fight for "free speech" got another ally with Ye, and Parler is all for it with the rapper's arrival as the leader of them all, focusing on providing the world with a platform that restricts nothing.
Parler and the Free Speech Platform
Parler is one of the most controversial platforms in the world since it rose to prominence in 2021 after being a famous app to alternate for Facebook and other social media in the world.
The company centers on free speech as its main branding, which means that the company holds nothing barred for users for everything they want to express online.
Still, what differentiates Parler from the other app is that it does not hold any significant rules for all, and it allows almost anything to stir conversations on its platform.
Previously, the company faced massive threats to its existence after Amazon's Web Services (AWS) removed them from their platform, ceasing the host server for Parler's operation.
It coincided with the Capitol riot that resulted in one of the most violent events in US elections after people talked of taking arms via Parler.
Now, Parler will be seeing new management, and it will be with rapper and entrepreneur, Ye, who will also be focusing on his return to social media via the company's platform. It is unknown what is Ye's plans for Parler but it would still focus on a free speech app where people may post their views and opinions without restrictions and the cancel culture.
