TP-Link has officially launched a new update for the Deco app this week. The app receives a major upgrade on its user interface, as well as revamped Parental Controls, and detailed network statistics.
The Shenzhen-based computer networking product manufacturer announced that the update is currently available on the App Store.
TP-Link Updates Deco Routers App to Latest Version
According to a report by 9to5Mac, the newly-updated Deco app 3.0 will tour the users to a more modern interface. It's easier to navigate than before as TP-Link ditches its outdated design.
The company says that users could now explore the app with ease. Looking at the network is much more convenient thanks to the UI update.
Once you open the app on your smartphone, you will notice right away that there are already a set of details of your internet connection. As such, you can take a peek at the number of connected devices to the network and even your data usage throughout the day.
The improved user interface comes with quick access to the router settings. The update also allows the users to check the shared Wi-Fi password with other devices via QR code scanning. Moreover, enabling Guest Network won't be a burden anymore here.
Through the Deco app, users can now detect all devices linked to the network. What's more amazing is that you can now specify the devices even better. You can categorize your gadget if it's a smartphone, a tablet, or even a PC.
Apart from that, you can glimpse the MAC address of the device, as well as its IP address, and data usage. You can also set your device a priority so it could get more signal it needs for a smoother connection.
Deco Routers App Revamps Parental Controls
TP-Link not only improves the overall user interface for everyone. It also tweaks the Parental Controls feature in this new update.
Through this feature, you can now restrict the websites that you can access on a particular network. In doing so, you can time the web browsing for close monitoring of online activities.
"Welcome to the Deco App - the perfect way to set up your mesh WiFi in minutes and control your whole network. Once connected, you'll have instant access to check every connected device, manage your kids' online activity, and control your home network effortlessly. All from the palm of your hand," TP-Link writes about the Deco App 3.0 update.
