"League of Legends" G2 CEO Carlos Rodriguez has been suspended by Riot Games following the recent viral video with Andrew Tate.

This means that the eSports team founder will not be able to participate in any "LoL" competition, such as the League of Legends European Championship (LEC).
"Carlos Rodriguez engaged in activity detrimental to the best interest of the League and Riot Games in violation of the LEC Rules," said the game developer via its official competitive ruling.
'League of Legends' G2 CEO Carlos Now Suspended
According to AFK Gaming's latest report, Rodriguez posted a video on Twitter last Sept. 17. The footage went viral since he was seen at a celebration with Andrew Tate.

Andrew Tate is among the controversial TikTok influencers. His content commonly revolves around breaking the so-called "Matrix."
Since his statements are usually about improving one's self and not becoming like others, he is referred to as the "Top G."
Riot Games explained that getting involved with the likes of Andrew Tate violates the Art. 9.2.5.
This rule state that team members, especially managers, should not endorse any statement or action that could create an issue.
They should avoid giving, making, or authorizing statements that can affect Riot Games' interest, as well as "League of Legends" and the company's affiliates.
Who Do LEC Rules Apply To?
Riot Games explained the LEC art. 9.2.5 applies to esports team managers and members.
Since Carlos Rodriguez is G2's CEO and a shareholder of the team, the game developer confirmed that he is considered a manager.
Riot Games further stated that Carlos engaged in an activity that was detrimental to the company's interest. This is because he associated himself with Tate, who has misogynistic views.
