The latest departure in the Apple Car EV project comes as the iPhone maker is reportedly reassembling its team as it gears up to enter the emerging electric vehicle (EV) market.

As per the latest report by Notebook Check, the Cupertino-based tech giant has reportedly disassembled its Apple Car Project team early this year.

However, a new report claims that the iPhone maker is working to rebuild its Apple Car team before this year hits its final curtain call.

No less than the reliable analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo discloses that Apple is restructuring its team for its rumored electric vehicle (EV) ambition.

The analyst also notes that Apple is looking to introduce its first-ever electric vehicles sometime in 2025.

It is worth noting that the renowned tech behemoth has yet to confirm its plans to enter the emerging market of EVs, which includes giants firms like Tesla and renowned automakers, such as Ford.

Despite that, numerous reports have revealed that the Apple Car Project has faced several leadership departures.

And this time, according to a recent report by Tesla North, the senior manager of the Apple Car Project has reportedly left the iPhone maker.

Jonathan Sive was part of the secretive EV project of Apple, wherein he was responsible for its hardware engineering and vehicle design. However, the Apple Car senior manager, who used to work with other tech giants, is now leaving the Cupertino-based tech giant.

The Bloomberg journalist, Mark Gurman, revealed in his latest Power On newsletter that Sive is now joining another EV maker, Rivian. But despite his departure, Gurman clarifies that the development of the secretive Apple Car "continues."

Tesla North highlights that the former senior manager of the Apple Car project has previously worked with other renowned tech firms before joining the ranks of the Cupertino behemoth.

He used to work with giant automakers, such as BMW and Tesla. And before working with Apple, he once had a stint at the self-driving car project of Google, Waymo.

The LinkedIn profile of Sive reveals that he left Apple in favor of Rivian, wherein he will be working on the future vehicles of the EV maker. He notes that he would be behind in the layout of upcoming Rivian cars.
