Zoom users rejoiced as the popular video chat app suffered from a massive outage.
This is not surprising since most companies rely on Zoom to conduct business meetings.

The app's issues started to appear on Thursday, Sept. 15, which affected thousands of Zoom users.
The official Down Detector UK confirmed that almost 4,000 users experienced the outage.
Around 49% of them were unable to start their work conferences.
On the other hand, 26% suffered server connectivity issues, and 25% experienced problems on Zoom's website.
Zoom Down: Video Chat App's Users Celebrated
According to Independent UK's latest report, many Zoom consumers rejoiced after the video chat platform experienced a wide outage.
"Zoom being down is like the adult equivalent of a snow day in a WFH world," said Twitter user @trippking3.
On the other hand, other users were concerned since their work meetings were important to them.
Another Twitter user said that the outage is bad since many individuals' livelihoods rely on meetings that could have been emailed.
Meanwhile, other users said that it is the first time that Zoom has experienced a massive outage since the global COVID-19 pandemic began.
The video chat app's issues affected users both in Europe and the United States. Zoom confirmed that their video platform is experiencing issues.
The tech company reassured users that their engineering team is already investigating the matter as of writing.
Zoom Troubleshooting Methods
Of course, the official Zoom Support website offers the steps you can follow to troubleshoot your video chat app on the desktop, such as the following:
- Restart your computer.
- Uninstall your Zoom app, then re-install the latest version.
- Check if other programs using the camera of your PC or laptop are closed. If not, turn them off, as they can affect your Zoom meeting.
Recently, the Zoombombing lawsuit forced Zoom to pay $85 million.
On the other hand, Zoom Mac security bugs were fixed by the video chat app company.
