Zoom has been one of the most popular video conferencing apps. Whether it's used for professional or casual tasks, this tool is ideal for seamless and convenient virtual communication for the participants.
Many have been using it for a long time, but some of them could not fully utilize it. You can do several things in Zoom.
For this part, we will show you how to upgrade your experience during Zoom calls through these tricks.
How to Be a Zoom Master
Using Zoom won't only guarantee you good video quality during online meetings. You can also change your background and even access some features that you haven't yet heard about.
These are only some of them, but if you need to learn more about how to do these tricks, check these out.
Adding Pronouns
According to a report by CNET, Zoom can allow the individual to add a pronoun on the profile. Whether you're a male, female, transgender, or more, you can set your desired pronoun here.
Aside from that, you can also set a display picture for your Zoom profile, just like in any other video call app.
To do this, tap the Participants button. Then, browse down and tap More, then Add a profile picture. You can now choose a photo from your device. Lastly, click Open.
Creating a Waiting Room
Sometimes, unnecessary guests could intentionally ruin your online meeting with your friends. That's why setting up your own private room for discussion is important.
In Zoom, you can avoid "zoombombing" by doing this trick. To create a Waiting Room, head to the Account Management, then Account Settings. Now, tap Meeting and activate the Waiting Room feature.
Reacting Using an On-Screen Emoji
Some meetings require the participants to get muted so speakers could focus on their presentations. In this case, you can only react with virtual gestures like in the form of emojis.
By using emoticons, you can inform the speaker using reactions such as thumbs up or heart emoji. Actually, you can customize them in Zoom.
If you want to learn how to react during an online video call, go to the bottom of the screen and click the Reactions Tab. Select your desired emoji that you want to use.
Take note that your reaction will only last for five seconds.
Hiding Nonvideo Participants
There are times that the virtual meeting is too crowded. That's why there's a need to limit the participants on the screen. To hide another subject in the background, go to Settings, Video, then Meetings.
After that, check to Hide non-video participants. Once you're done with this, you can no longer see distractions such as children and animals on the video.
Meanwhile, Techradar reported that Zoom would soon introduce a metaverse-like app that can allow people to host a private meeting.
