Apple Studio Display Users Report 'Buzzing Sound' Possibly Caused by EMI, Solution Yet to be Issued

Another Apple Studio Display issue sprung up.

Apple Studio Display is currently experiencing several issues, per initial reports by users taking their complaints to online forums. Until now, multiple users and reviewers have claimed that a high-pitched sound is heard while using the 27-inch flat panel computer monitor developed and sold by Apple.

Apple Studio Display Users Report 'Buzzing Sound'

According to a MacRumors report, Apple Studio Display owners claim that the high-pitched buzzing sound might have been caused by electrical interference. Yet another audio problem has sprung up, and Apple has not issued any statement or solution at the time of writing.

The report emphasizes that the annoying sound appears to be coming from the top of the Display's screen and also behind it. Clients have discovered that the sound only appears when a MacBook Pro or iPad is connected to the Studio Display and is not associated with the device fan.

Some people have also pointed out that depending on the time of day, the noise might change in pitch and loudness, which raises the possibility of a problem with the electrical shielding. MacRumors also shared that some users suggested that the display picks up interference from electric car chargers.

Electrical or electromagnetic interference (EMI) is typically caused by other electrical devices, especially high-powered ones emitting unwanted EM waves causing other devices to emanate beeping or buzzing sounds and operate poorly.

A known solution to this type of device issue is making sure that the device in use is far away from other running electronic devices. Utilizing high-quality electronics from reputable manufacturers is the best method to prevent EMI. Tech companies like Apple produce products unlikely to experience this type of issue, but clearly, the Apple Studio Display has a problem with interference shielding.

Apple Studio Display Issues

Ever since its launch back in March, the Apple Studio Display has found itself in the headlines for all the bad reasons. Even though this display is one of the decent choices for 5K panels, owners were dismayed with how the Studio Display's other features spew out issues after issues. It has not even been a year.

Back in April, some users complained that the 12MP FaceTime camera was not performing as expected. It was discovered later in the same month that consumers could not upgrade the Apple Studio Display firmware properly. Users reported receiving an error message when trying to update the Apple Studio Display.

Meanwhile, numerous users have already observed this interference issue since early July. The problem appears to be persistent even on the replacement units that Apple is releasing, claims an XDA report. Despite this, the corporation appears to be aware of the bug.

In the meantime, users can reach out to the Apple helpdesk to guide them with the issues they are currently experiencing with their Apple Studio Display.
