Nintendo is closing down 3DS and Wii U eShop early next year or in March 2023. And now, the Japanese gaming giant has revealed the maintenance schedule ahead of its closure.
The schedule follows the recent announcement of Nintendo, saying that Nintendo eShop Card could no longer be used to add funds to 3DS and Wii U eShop accounts.
Nintendo 3DS, Wii U eShop Closure Maintenance Schedule
As per the latest news by Nintendo Life, the gaming behemoth warned users of eShop for 3DS and Wii U that they could no longer use their Nintendo eShop Card starting this August 29.
And this time, it appears that Nintendo has already scheduled maintenance that would prevent users from adding funds to their 3DS and Wii U eShop accounts.
A recent tweet from a Twitter user that goes by the name NinStatusBot reveals the August maintenance schedule for the Nintendo eShop.
The tweet disclosed that the eShop has scheduled maintenance on Aug. 30 starting at 4:30 to 6:30 universal time.
So in roughly a week, Nintendo is hosting a maintenance session in its eShop, which assumingly removes the option that allows its users to add funds to their Wii U and 3DS accounts.
Given that, you still have around seven days to add funds to your accounts before the gaming giant shuts down the option at the end of this month.

Nintendo to Close 3DS, Wii U eShop in 2023
It is worth noting that the Japanese gaming firm has previously confirmed the closure of both its Wii U and 3DS eShops by early next year.
According to a news report by The Verge last July, the renowned gaming giant announced that the eShops for 3DS and Wii U are shutting their doors on March 27, 2023.
It would render all its users unable to get their hands on either paid or free-of-charge gaming titles and other content starting early next year.
However, Nintendo assures its users that they could still redownload their library even after the closure. Not to mention that the tech giant would still roll out software updates, allowing them to play their games online.
All that said, users of the digital storefront of 3DS and Wii U could still purchase games and downloadable content until March of next year. But they could only top up the funds in their accounts until Aug. 29.
