Just this week, the Chinese phone maker confirmed the official launch of the newest K50 Ultra model. It will be first available in its country of origin, China.

According to the reports, this could be the latest smartphone that will be suited for mobile gaming because of its impressive specifications.

The gaming smartphones continue to saturate the tech market along with the craziest gadget trends in existence. Recently, Redmi has added a new handset from the K-series family: the Redmi K50 Ultra.

According to Mashable the newly-launched handheld sports a 120Hz refresh rate on its 6.7-inch, 12-bit OLED display. It features a 2712x1220p for its panel resolution. On top of that, it comes with 1920Hz PWM dimming.

Aside from that, the K50 Ultra comes with Dolby Vision support which goes along with Adaptive HDR and HDR10+. The tech site adds that its display is SGS-certified (low blue light mode).

For its chipset, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which compliments its UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM.

For mobile gamers, this could be a perfect substitute for your old gaming smartphone, thanks to its VC liquid cooling mechanism. This feature will help you play for long hours without interruption or overheating issues.

When it comes to its camera, it boasts a tri-camera setup which is primarily composed of a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary shooter. Another thing is it has a 2MP macro camera and an 8MP ultra-wide snapper.

For selfie-takers, you can use this Redmi handset with its 20MP front camera.

Other than that, the Redmi K50 Ultra debuts with a 120W fast wired-charging support for its 5,000mAh battery. It operates under the Android 12 OS.

Additionally, it offers up to 12GB RAM, which sets a bar for other existing gaming handsets. You can settle for an 8GB RAM variant if you're short on your budget. Regarding its internal storage, you can choose among the three options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

The Redmi K-series handset can be purchased in various color options, including silver, black, and blue.

How Much Does Redmi K50 Ultra Cost?

Gizmochina reported that the Redmi K50 Ultra is currently available in China. There's no official announcement yet about its global release.

As of press time, pre-orders are already rolling out for this device. It is expected to go on sale on Aug. 16 from 10 AM (China Time) onwards.
