There are a lot of features available for iOS 16, and users already experience it via the beta feature available for all to join during the wait for its public release. Now, its latest feature for all brings an experience that provides a hands-free setup during phone calls, and that is to hang up calls using Siri, the famous AI assistant from Apple.
iOS 16: Use Siri to Hang Up Phone Calls on the iPhone
According to Lifehacker, there is a new feature for iOS 16 users to enjoy, and it is the "Siri Call Hangup" feature available for all to access via the beta program. It is a way for the users to end a phone call without the need to touch the device's drop call button, which is usually seen in a massive red button at the bottom of the screen.
Note that this feature is available in Apple's software beta program for iOS 16, but not all devices are eligible to use it.
Also, this feature is not entirely for negative use. It brings a feature that would help those with busy hands-on specific ventures like doing the laundry or cooking food to end a call with a person they are talking to on their smartphones.
Here's How to Use Siri and Hang Up Calls
Users need to have Siri enabled for their devices and have it activated and ready for any commands as soon as their voices are heard.
To activate it, users need to go to Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Call Hangup and enable the feature for their access.
The magic words for Siri's command are by saying, "Hey Siri, hangup the call." The voice command would be heard by the other person on the line before Siri drops it for the user.
iOS 16 and its Features
The world is waiting for the iOS 16 to drop, and they are expecting it any day now, as the upcoming expected arrival of the new iPhone would arrive by September or October. The new iOS 16 aims to provide the world with new features and functions for the device, but it is still something that does not shy away from the existing OS there is.
Still, there is a lot to experience with the iOS 16, and Apple sure did include multiple new things to enjoy when using the new OS, especially now for all beta users that are a part of it. Several features include editing photos and cropping out unwanted elements in the background or selecting the subjects, CarPlay features for contactless refueling, automatic verification, and more.
With all that Apple has to offer to the public, there is a lot to discover about its upcoming arrival, and minor features like dropping the call with Siri are one nifty thing to know for one's access. The device still gives the world many new things to enjoy, especially with their accessibility and experience to complete their iPhone use.
