The iPhone maker has stopped signing the iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 starting July 17, Wednesday, shortly after rolling out their 15.6 updates, as per the latest news report by 9to5 Mac.
The online Apple-focused news site notes that Apple has stopped signing iOS 15.5 exactly a week after pushing a new version.
It prevents iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users from downgrading their mobile devices to the older iOS 15.5 from the newer version.
Essentially, it gravely affects folks waiting for jailbreak as they are advised to go for the lowest version available.
Meanwhile, it seems that those who have installed the latest update of iOS and iPad are stuck with it until Apple introduces a new version.
The Cupertino giant recently seeded beta 4 of iOS 16, but it appears that its rollout to the general public is going to take several more weeks.

It is worth noting that the iPhone maker released its iOS 15.5 last May 16 or roughly two months before the new iOS 15.6 saw the light of day to the general public on July 20.
The 15.5 version of iOS and iPad does not bring any massive changes to Apple operating system.
Nevertheless, it still introduces a few handy refinements in built-in apps like Apple Podcasts and Apple Cash. Not to mention that it also included a few bug fixes.

iOS 15.6: Should You Update?
According to the recent news story by CNET, the latest version of iOS notably brings a new feature for users watching live sporting events in the built-in TV app of iPhones and iPads.
The release notes of the tech giant said that iOS 15.6 brings an option to navigate live sports on the TV app. It now lets users fast-forward, rewind, and even pause them.
On the other hand, the rest of the changes are mere refinements across the system.
For instance, the new iOS has fixed a problem in the web browser of Apple, Safari, wherein a tab annoyingly returns to a previous page.
The latest update has also ditched the bug that mistakenly alerts that the storage is full even if it still has ample space.
