The long-time rumored Apple AR/VR reality might not potentially arrive for the upcoming WWDC 2022 event next week, according to prominent leaker Ming-Chi Kuo.
The tech analyst says that there are some problems with the said device's mass production, which is why its launch is expected to be delayed.
Apple Mixed Reality Headset Won't be Coming Soon
As Macrumors spotted via Kuo's tweets on Tuesday, May 31, the possible release for the rumored Apple headset will be next year.
Kuo noted that the early announcement about this product could spark some controversy among other competitors. He said that it would pave the way for the "copycat projects" that could come from other companies that make mixed reality headsets.
Previously, Kuo said that the Cupertino giant could likely unveil the new wearable at the annual WWDC. However, he admitted that he had downplayed his earlier expectations about its release.
Apple Mixed Reality Headset Could Feature realityOS
In the past reports, we have already heard the word "realityOS." This has become the subject of rumors as people claim that it will be the operating system for the mixed-reality headset.
Concerning this, Tech Times reported that the iPhone maker had filed a "realityOS" trademark. Many speculated that it would debut at the developer's conference next week.
In the same report, the tech publication wrote that the filing date for this trademark is slated for June 8. That's two days after the WWDC keynote kicks off.
The deadlines for the trademark seem legitimate as confirmed by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg and an unnamed lawyer. Somehow, its schedule coincides with the WWDC event.
Regarding the release of the mixed reality headset, Gurman earlier claimed that there will be delays for this wearable which will last until 2023.

What to Expect for WWDC 2022
Per 9to5Mac, the audiences can expect a lot of new stuff for the upcoming WWDC. Apple could likely announce the new iOS 16 and its enhanced capabilities, including new Health features, widget-like options for Wallpaper, and Messages functionality.
Moreover, other things that could arrive for the Worldwide Developers Conference include iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, 2022 MacBook Air, and more.
Meanwhile, the Cupertino firm's A16 chip will reportedly use a similar 5-nm fabrication process. The A14 and A15 chips previously used the same fab.
According to the experts, this fabrication level could pose some limitations to Apple. For instance, many improvements might be limited, but still, small tweaks are possible to execute.
Additionally, there will be a 10% boost in the performance of the newer model, the same report notes. Tech Times wrote that the iPhone 14 is set to receive the new A16 SoC. The new flagship is expected to debut five months from now.
