The new Tesla software updated 2022.16.0.2 offers various enhancements to make your EV experience better. These include better range calculation and multiple media account-to-driver profile linkage.
For the past few years, Tesla has been the top EV maker, especially when it comes to software updates. Thanks to its over-the-air (OTA) updates, the automaker released upgrades that further enhance its electric car system.
Now, new features are expected to arrive once consumers install the new Tesla software 2022.16.0.2 version. Here are the things you can expect from this update.
New Tesla Software Update 2022.16.0.2
According to Electrek's latest report, the first enhancement Tesla must look forward to is the better range calculation capability.

The 2022.16.0.2 update offers the so-called Navigation Energy Prediction, which can efficiently predict the amount of power that Tesla will use in certain situations.
"Energy prediction for your route has been improved by incorporating forecasted crosswind, headwind, humidity, and ambient temperature when using online navigation," the EV maker explained.
Aside from this, the new Tesla software update also offers a new feature that allows multiple media accounts to be linked to a single driver profile.
With this upgrade, users can just connect their Spotify, Facebook, and other media accounts to their vehicle. If they want to use their own social media profiles, they can just switch to their own driver profile, and their media accounts will be activated instead.
Other Tesla Software Enhancements
Aside from better range calculation and multiple media account linkage, the latest 2022.16.0.2 also offers the so-called Blended Brake feature.
This new function allows your EV's brakes to apply force, offering more consistent deceleration automatically. You don't have to worry for those already familiar with their electric cars and don't want the new Blended Brake feature.
Tesla confirmed that this enhancement could be turned off. To do this, you must click the Controls option and choose the "Pedals & Steering" button.
After that, choose the "Apply Brakes When Regenerative Braking is Limited" option. You can view Teslarati's report to see further details.
Previously, the Tesla Model Y fire incident forced the driver to break his windows since he didn't know how to open them manually.
Meanwhile, Texas Tesla owners said they received a charging warning message from the automaker.
