Elon Musk Admits Having a Secret Instagram Account: No Burner Twitter Account

Aside from being a billionaire, Elon Musk has remained a strong personality on Twitter and other social media platforms. When questioned whether he had a secret Twitter account, he replied that although he does not have one, he actually has a secret Instagram account.

The billionaire CEO has been quite busy when it comes to buying Twitter and, although things are still being sorted out, according to Pranay Pathole, some people think that Elon Musk even runs his Twitter account.

For those who do not know, Paranay Pathole is a Tata Consultancey Services software developer and has a history of tweeting with Elon Musk. As per BuzzFeed News, he has been mentioned in conversations by Musk over 400 times since 2018.

Pathole Addresses Questions Regarding Whether Elon Musk Ran His Twitter

Pathole said in his tweets that while Musk was busy "building rockets, making life multiplanetary, building futuristic electric vehicles, digging tunnels," the billionaire CEO still had time to run his twitter account. Pathole said this ironically and followed the tweet up by saying "come on you can do better."

He also said that the idea behind Musk having a burner Twitter account was not accurate.

Elon Musk Answers Rumors on Whether He Has a Secret Twitter Account

The post ended with a laughing emoji and to this, Musk replied. The Tesla CEO cleared everything up in a reply to the tweet, saying he does not have a burner Twitter account.

Musk revealed that although he did not have any burner Twitter accounts, he did, in fact, have a secret Instagram account. The billionaire noted that the purpose of his secret instagram account was in order for him to click on certain links being sent to him.

Why Elon Musk had a Secret Instagram Account

Elon Musk specifically noted that his secret Instagram account was for opening links being sent by friends. In a blog post by AppTuts.net, one advice given to users in order for them to protect their instagram accounts is to not open links that they receive from direct messages.

The post notes that despite a URL looking familiar, users should only open links from people that they trust. This could be a potential reason behind why the Tesla CEO decided to have a secret Instagram account for links.
