Apple Watch Series 7's body temperature sensor is now canceled, claims Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the most reliable Apple analysts in the tech industry.
He explained that the tech giant manufacturer's first plan is to integrate advanced tech into the latest wearable product of the company.
However, because of an issue with the sensor's algorithm. Will the advanced body temperature feature still arrive?
Apple Watch Series 7 Body Temperature Sensor Canceled
According to MacRumors' latest report, Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the body temperature sensor's algorithm didn't meet the requirements needed before the function entered the EVT phase (engineering validation testing) phase.

"Apple canceled body temperature measurement for Apple Watch 7 because the algorithm failed to qualify before entering EVT stage last year," said Kuo via his official Twitter announcement.
The popular Apple analyst further explained that the issue specifically revolves around the ability of the Apple Watch Series 7 body temperature to detect the skin's temperature.
However, since the human skin temperature depends on the outside environment, there will be an issue since smartwatches commonly don't support temperature-monitoring hardware features.
This means that Apple Watch Series 7 still needs to have a better algorithm if it wants the body temperature sensor to work efficiently.
Although this is the case, it doesn't mean that Apple's wearables can't have the new tech.
Will Body Temperature Sensor Still Arrive?
Kuo claimed that the giant iPhone maker will still release its body temperature sensor feature. However, Watch Series 7 will no longer be the model to have it.
Instead, the new Watch Series 8 is expected to offer the new body temperature function. Apple is not the only one experiencing issues with this complicated feature.
Samsung, one of the biggest competitors of Apple, is also having a hard time integrating the body temperature sensor feature into its Galaxy Watch 5.
Some rumors claim that Samsung's wearable device will also not have the feature because of algorithm issues.
Meanwhile, Meta's out-hand tracking update recently rolled out to Oculus Quest 2.
On the other hand, some Google Pixel Watch leaks claimed that the new wearable would be launched in Google I/O 2022.
