Best April Fools' Day Jokes From Tech Firms Over the Last Decade

April Fools' Day is one of the most exciting days for people who want to take a step back from a stressful life. This special prankster event is intended for people who want to view seasonal jokes that do not age fast.

For the tech industry, several products are worth the user's laugh. Some are considered to be clever creations while others are just made to piss off other people.

Having said that, let's take a quick look at the best April Fools' tech jokes in the last 10 years.

Pocket-Lint listed a myriad of tech jokes that did not fail to give us a giggle in the last 10 years during April Fools' Day. You might have already heard some of them, but some may be quite new to your ears.

Flux Capacitor Car Charger

According to the report, the Flux Capacitor Car Charger gained popularity on the internet in 2014. For "Back to the Future" fans who want to experience nostalgia, this tech product will blast some memories from the past.

Featuring two USB charging ports and a cigarette lighter port, this tech product is a perfect April Fools' idea. To think that it can supply 2.1 amps, it's pretty interesting to know that it can charge two tablets at the same time.

YouTube 1911

Who wouldn't remember the iconic YouTube 1911 where you could enjoy an old filter from 2011? This year, we will tour you to the forgotten era for strange video filters and effects.

It's hilarious to think that your 2022 clip can transform into a very old-quality video. At the time of its release, it managed to work for a week until some issues hindered it. As such, copyright claims surfaced and many clips were taken down in the process.

BMW PRAM

Just a quick throwback to 2013, you might have already forgotten the April Fool's BMW. This mode of transportation is not your usual car or bike that you see everyday.

It's intended for babies who want to take early driving lessons at their tender age. The signature stroller could fool you at first glance into thinking that it was a half-bodied BMW.

Judging from its design, its setup is unbelievable to imagine, but mind you that it has a lot of surprises inside. Aside from its extended flagpoles, did you know that it's an air-conditioned PRAM?

Virgin Volcanic

2012 is a good year to remember for people who are familiar with Virgin Volcanic. Started as a concept by Sir Richard Branson, this promising technology can allow people to see the center of the Earth by going into a volcano.

The idea sounds too obvious for a sci-fi movie, but that's a part of an April Fools' prank. The company even created a fake website wherein they promoted the product to people who want to explore the core of the planet (the hottest core).

Virgin is (jokingly) dedicated to launching VVS1, a next-gen vehicle that will help people explore the molten rocks and lava inside a volcano? The twist? It can throw three people at the same time inside a volcano.

PlayMobil Apple Store

One of the most sensational April Fools' jokes that shocked the fans was the Playmobil Apple Store. There were miniature employees in a makeshift Apple Store who were preparing for the release of the iPad 2 at that time.

There are a lot of things to see here including a Genius Bar, Kids Corner, Display Tables, and a Keynote Theater. If this happens this year, maybe we could experience a different feeling in visiting other Apple stores.
