When it was launched in the official Apple App Store, the new social media platform attracted a lot of consumers.

Thanks to its sudden popularity, the Truth Social application's debut was able to increase the Digital World's shares by 26%.

However, Tech Times recently reported that Donald Trump's online platform disappointed many users after issues appeared on the social media site.

Aside from this, the former POTUS is also inactive and still remains idle.

Why Donald Trump Doesn't Use Truth Social?

Mashable reported that the reason behind Donald Trump's inactivity in the new Truth Social platform is still not yet confirmed.

Instead, his son, Donald Trumo Jr., is the one using the platform since he just debuted on the app. His late arrival is likely because of the long waitlist of the app, which also prevents other consumers from using the platform.

Meanwhile, the former U.S. president still hasn't posted a single status since mid-February, which is before the new social media site went live to the public.

For some people, the absence of Trump on Truth Social may seem not like a big deal.

But, to other individuals, it is the opposite since the new social media platform was created to allow the former American leader to have a voice after he was banned by Facebook and Twitter.

Trump's Absence Affects Consumers' Interest?

Stephanie Chan, a Sensor Tower mobile insights strategist, announced that Truth Social is now down by 93% after it was launched back on Feb. 21.

"This is down 93% from its launch week, when it saw 872,000 installs during the week of Feb. 2. We estimate that Truth Social has so far reached approximately 1.2 million installs since its launch," she said via TheWrap.

Chan added that Gettr, one of the main competitors of Truth Social, still has more users (around 6 million). This means that Truth Social still has to do more efforts if it wants to beat Gettr and Parler.

However, some critics claimed that the absence of Trump, as well as other issues, such as the annoying waitlist, could further affect the interest of the platform's users.

Remember, many individuals are actually interested in Truth Social because it was created to allow Trump to share his thoughts with his fans.
