Google's Wear OS 3 was launched in August 2021, but it was only available for a handful of devices. The tech giant announced that the OS would be distributed and released a list of devices to receive the update.
This year, the Wear OS 3 will be added to a couple of smartwatches. Below are the devices that will get the update, so you can check if your smartwatch is included in the list.
Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic
The two Samsung smartwatches that will get the Wear OS 3 are the Galaxy Watch4 and the Galaxy Watch4 Classic. If you wish to try the new software as quickly and easily as possible, you can get either of the two Samsung smartwatches.
The massive difference between the two, aside from their color and their strap selection, is the bezels. The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 has a touch-sensitive bezel. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic is equipped with a rotating bezel, like on some regular mechanical watches.
Both of the smartwatches have Samsung's own Exynos W920 processor, according to Android Central.

Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch
One of the most well-known watches and accessory companies is Fossil. It is also one of the most popular third-party smartwatch markers, so it makes complete sense that the Fossil Gen 6 is getting the latest Wear OS 3, according to Android Police.
Although the Fossil Gen 6 is more expensive than the Samsung smartwatches, they are more customizable. The special Fossil Gen made together with Razer is also eligible for the Wear OS 3 update.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 is a better value for specs, but if you want a smartwatch with more flexibility, especially on its look, Fossil is the one to get.
Michael Kors Gen 6 Bradshaw Smartwatch
If you are searching for something with a classic watch aesthetic and premium quality, you will be glad to know that the Michael Kors Gen 6 Bradshaw smartwatch is also getting the new Wear OS 3 update, according to 9to5Google.
The Michael Kors smartwatches are designed by Fossil, which means they share several hardware details. It is also a bit more expensive than the Fossil line, but it makes sense because you are paying for a more premium brand and brand recognition.
This is a great option if you are looking for a more dependable device that can also be used as a fashion statement.
Mobvoi Ticwatch Smartwatch Line
Mobvoi's Ticwatch line is getting the Wear OS 3 update. The products, including Ticwatch E3, Ticwatch Pro 3, and Pro 3 Ultra, are all updated.
WearOS users are familiar with Mobvoi, so, understandably, a couple of their lineup for Wear OS 3 are more robust right out of the gate.
The TicWatch E3 is the best one to get if you are searching for a budget device to get Wear OS 3. However, it is held back by its bulky structure and its lackluster display.
The Pro 3 and the Pro 3 Ultra fare a lot better and come with all the sensors you could want. Both are bulky, but these are the best ones to get if you do not want the Samsung Galaxy Watch4.
