"Nintendo Switch Sports" leaked that it will be supporting Advanced Micro Devices or AMD's Fidelity Super Resolution to boost the graphic quality of the Nvidia-powered hybrid gaming console.
Nintendo Switch Sports and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution
As per a news story by Tom's Hardware, the upcoming gaming title on the Switch, which goes by the name "Nintendo Switch Sports" is now suggesting that it would be using the open-source image upscaling platform of AMD.
The news outlet further noted that the upcoming Switch game could be the first-ever game on the platform to use the AMD tech, which is shortly known as FSD.
However, it is worth noting that more games on the gaming console could follow the move of the "Nintendo Switch Sports" to use such upscaling technology.
'Nintendo Switch Sports' to Use AMD FSD
A Twitter user that goes by the username NWPlayer123 pointed out that the end-user license agreement, shortly referred to as EULA, of upcoming "Nintendo Switch Sports" suggests the use of AMD's upscaling algorithm.
According to a recent report by Nintendo Life, although the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution is completely open-source, those who will be using it in projects that would earn a profit are required to mention it on their licenses.
As such, even if Nintendo has yet to formally announce that it would be supporting AMD's FSR, its license for its upcoming gaming title suggests that it would do so.
That said, it appears that the gaming tech giant would use the upscaling feature for this specific game. However, Tom's Hardware believes that the support for AMD's FSR opens the possibility that more games by Nintendo would soon adopt it.

AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution: What is it?
So, as per the same story of Nintendo Life, the FidelityFX Super-Resolution of AMD basically enhances the overall image quality of games through its upscaling algorithm.
However, it is interesting to point out that AMD technology does not use AI to boost image quality. Instead, the news outlet clarified that it actually utilizes an algorithm to improve the graphics.
Although it makes the image quality sharper than ever, it is actually meant to give the game a performance boost while stabilizing its frame rate.
