A few days to go before fans of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" can get in on some serious action thanks to the Havoc DLC which releases on Jan. 27.
On Tuesday, Activision and Sledgehammer Games unveiled the new trailer for the DLC release, giving gamers a peek into four new maps, the co-op Exo-zombie mode and a slew of new weapons.
The four new multiplayer maps are Core, Urban, Sideshow and Drift. So what exactly are these?
Core
This map has the Gobi desert as its settings, with the ruins of a nuclear fusion plant as its backdrop. It is a mid- to long-range map that has "decontamination drones" which a player can deploy to kill their enemy.
Urban
This is a futuristic structure - Dallas Ward 3 - and has a time event when the doors blast open. The vertical map has altering sightlines and is a close-quarters map, which basically means that gamers will need to tap into their exoskeleton abilities.
Sideshow
With an abandoned inn in Wyoming as its setting, this map is quite creepy. In keeping with the theme is a huge clown (at the map's center) who spits rainbow cannonballs, which can be used to blow opponents.
Drift
Drift is set in a ski resort in the Rocky Mountains and has a carousel in the middle which gamers can ride and shoot from every angle as they spin. A timed event on the map launches a lethal avalanche that wipes out an area on the map and if anyone is standing there.
Apart from the multiplayer maps, gamers will also get new weapons like the AE4 directed energy assault rifle, AE4 Widowmaker custom variant, and the Cell 3 Cauteriser, which is a triple-barreled shotgun.
The first chapter of the Exo-zombies makes its debut on the DLC. It is a multi-part series where the characters are essayed by celebrities who are Atlas employees (which include John Malkovich, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal, and Bill Paxton) that have been left behind and are trying to escape from the clutches of the zombies. This mode will be a co-op experience where gamers will battle it out against zombies that have Exo-suits.
Havoc will launch on Tuesday, Jan. 27, for Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will release on other platforms later. Havoc will come with a $50 DLC pass for Advanced Warfare (including three expansions). This can also be bought for $15 on its own.
