Warner Bros. "Reminiscence" has a deepfake generator technology that takes the promotion of the movie to the next level, allowing virtually anyone to see their beautiful faces alongside Hugh Jackman, the lead star of the sci-fi thriller film.
As such, users of the deepfake generator for the Warner Bros. film could even go on to put other people's faces--whether it is someone they know or a complete stranger as the tech only requires a photo with a person's face.
Warner Bros. 'Reminiscence' Deepfake Generator
While deepfakes have previously been used for illegal activities and in other cases, creepy stuff, movie studios are using it more lightly, like the deepfake version of Lucasfilm's "The Mandalorian."
This time around, Warner Bros.'s version of the tool is a cool and impressive twist to further promote their upcoming film, "Reminiscence."
As per Gizmodo, the movie studio partnered with an AI face firm that goes by the name D-ID to produce a tech that could generate deepfakes so that anyone could put their faces on the trailer of the upcoming film.
Just imagine yourself alongside Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson.
It is to note that the deep fake generator is also a clever marketing strategy now that the Hollywood scene is facing another hiccup as the United States sees another wave of COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant.
With this tech, anybody in any part of the world could be with the cast of the film by squeezing themselves on the trailer.
Warner Bros. 'Reminiscence'
The upcoming sci-fi noir movie of Warner Bros. entitled "Reminiscence" stars big names like Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, and Thandiwe Newton.
The three of them will also be joined by Daniel Wu, Cliff Curtis, Nathalie Martinez--among other celebrities.
The thriller follows the story of a private investigator, Nick Bannister, who Jackman portrays, who assists his clients in retrieving the memories that they lost via a hologram.
One of the clients of Bannister, Mae, played by Ferguson, disappears out of nowhere. Thus, the vanishment of his newfound client got him persistent to unravel what happened to her.
"Reminiscence" is the directorial debut of Lisa Joy, who was also the co-writer and executive producer of HBO's hit sci-fi series "Westworld."
According to Engadget, the sci-fi film is set to hit the theatres on Aug. 20 alongside its release on HBO Max.

'Reminiscence' Deepfake Generator: How to Use
The deepfake generator, designed to be a promotional tool for "Reminiscence," works easily. The tech could be accessed via the official website of the upcoming thriller.
