Upholding Commitment In the Middle of a Pandemic

DHL explained in a press release that it mainly focused on improving its workforce communications for enhancing workforce stability. This directive was targeted specifically to their drivers who had restricted facility access because of precautions and restrictions due to the pandemic. To address these challenges, DHL devised creative methods to maintain communications across the team, which ultimately resulted in better retention rates that improved their performance over the past year as a result.

"At DHL Supply Chain, we applaud the efforts of our dedicated Nissan team in championing our commitment to provide a best-in-class suite of transportation and logistics services helping to elevate Nissan's Aftersales service to dealers and consumers," shares Jorge Salas, DHL Supply Chain's Vice President for Dedicated Fleet Operations. "This honor, as 'Logistics Partner of the Year' from Nissan, is proof positive of DHL's ability to execute end-to-end supply chains (transport, warehousing and management) that deliver efficiency, flexibility, and cost benefits to our valued customers."

The recognition from Nissan comes shortly after the DHL Group maintained a strong opening quarter for Q2 2021, keeping its upward trajectory with overall group revenue up by 22.2 percent to EUR 19.5 billion.
