Google CEO Sundar Pichai warns that the attack on the open internet has been persisting globally. The company CEO also said that in the upcoming years, the power of quantum computing and artificial intelligence would take over the world.
Sundar Pichai Cautions About the Dangers in the Open Web
In a recent interview with BBC, the CEO said that many countries have been exploiting the free internet for everyone. In addition, there are some of them which limit the information dissemination which is oftentimes the real scenario behind the cameras.
Nowadays, the transition from physical activities to online has been fast-moving, especially since the digital age of the internet is continuously developing. Technological adoption has paved the path for others to access more webs via the internet, but sometimes, it could endanger the users' lives without them knowing.
Internet freedom might be on the tip of our fingers, yet the responsibility in using it is often displaced. Perhaps what Pichai wants to happen is for us to be aware that no one is safe on the internet. Everyone is exposed to the risk of having their data stolen or being suppressed to a lot of misinformation on social media platforms.
Besides warning about the threat circling the web, Pichai also tackled issues like data privacy, taxing technology, and more.

Sundar Pichai Discusses AI and Quantum Computing
Back in 2018, the Google manager said that artificial intelligence is more profound than fire and electricity. On Sunday, July 11, The Telegraph reported the same topic involving Pichai.
Pichai noted that AI and quantum computing are the two developments that will have a huge impact on everyone in the future.
Many machines are now capable of copying what humans can do. Surprisingly, some tools can even do tasks better than a normal person. This is what AI does since many activities are considered complicated, the machine is assigned to do them.
If it can do good for humans, there are also some bad impacts that AI could produce. In 2017, Elon Musk said that the "biggest risk" that people face is artificial intelligence. Since artificial intelligence can yield fake outcomes, the South African tycoon mentioned that it's better if the government will regulate its usage.
For the part of quantum computing, some technologists together with the Google CEO support the idea that the said technology will not work for everything. It might be applicable to other methods, but the knowledge about quantum computing might feature new solutions to the world.
