ASUS Zenfone 8 will be arriving in India according to ASUS India's Dinesh Sharma. The company has no official announcement about the release of the upcoming gadget, but it would not be far from happening since the statement came from an ASUS representative in the country.
It is expected that when it arrives in the Indian market, the product will have the name "ASUS 8Z" to avoid conflicts with Zenfone. What could be its difference from the ASUS 8Z Flip in terms of its specs?
Dinesh Sharma Tweets About ASUS Zenfone 8's Launch in India
According to XDA Developers on Friday, July 9, ASUS India Business Head Dinesh Sharma tweeted about the release of the Zenfone 8 in India.
The tweet says that the new smartphone is confirmed to be coming soon since the team is currently developing it. At any time, the firm will unveil the final schedule for its launch.
ASUS 8Z Specs
Fans have been waiting for this flagship smartphone and the moment is about to come.
For the specs of Asus 8Z, it will have a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC which could have an Adreno 660 GPU. In terms of its display, its 5.9-inch AMOLED screen will feature a full high-definition resolution. It will also have a Gorilla Glass Victus along with 240Hz touch sampling rate, 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio 1100 nits brightness.
Apart from that, it will sport 256 GB storage and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM. For its battery, it will appear with a 4,000mAH battery which supports a 30W ultra-fast charging port. For the cameras, it will don a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor which also packs a macro mode on top with a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor.
For selfie enthusiasts, it will feature a 12MP camera in front. Additionally, it will support Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and USB-C.

ASUS 8Z Flip Specs
After discussing the specs of the Asus ZenFone 8, let's now move on to knowing what's with the ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip. Understandably, the latter has a bigger display of 6.67 inches, but both of them have the same chipset and GPU, 91 Mobiles reported.
The ASUS 8Z Flip has a 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 6 layer, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, it has a bigger battery size of 5,500mAh but with the same charging support at 30W. This phone, however, can be dipped to meter-deep water for half an hour due to its IP68 rating. It's also resistant to dust.
Its cameras share almost the same features as ASUS 8Z, but with the addition of the 8MP telephoto camera which the Sony Xperia 1 III also has. You could optically zoom an object up to three times. If you want to digitally zoom it, it's possible up to 12 times.
