Lenovo has quietly unveiled its upcoming Smart Clock 2. The product page has been uploaded on Lenovo's official website without any announcement.

Per TechRadar, the Smart Clock 2 is the second generation successor of the earlier Google-powered Smart Clock.

The Smart Clock 2 is currently listed as "coming soon."

The quiet unveiling of the brand's latest smart clock follows a string of new products that Lenovo has recently launched or announced, which includes the Legion Phone Duel 2 and the ThinkPad X1 Extreme.

Lenovo Smart Clock 2 Features and Design

Lenovo Smart Clock 2 has a new set of features and design that both likens and separates it from its predecessor. Here is what users can expect from the upcoming product:

Google-Powered System - The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is meant to be a daily assistant of sorts that you can just place on your nightstand or wherever the user deems necessary. It allows users to control up to 50,000 compatible devices through voice or touch.

Privacy - The mute button can be toggled. The smart clock does not have a camera.

Better Audio - Users who want to listen to music or podcasts can do so with their Lenovo Smart Clock 2. The product is equipped with front-firing 3W speakers that will "for clearer vocals and better tones," according to its product page.

Intercom Function - The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 can be used as an intercom by connecting it to other speakers and devices at home.

4" Touch Screen - It features a 4" touch screen that displays important information such as the time and weather. It can also be used to display photos.

"Good Night" Routine - A single command can do a variety of things, such as turning off the lights and locking doors.

Built-in Nightlight - The feature can only be accessed when the device is docked.

Important tech specs of the Smart Clock 2 include its MediaTek MT8167S processor, 4" LCD IPS Touchscreen display, and 1GB RAM and 8GB Flash memory.

Its exterior material is made from soft-touch fabric that is available in three different colors: Abyss Blue, Heather Grey, and Shadow Black.

Buttons and switches that can be used on the device include a microphone mute toggle and a switch that lets users increase or decrease the volume of the device

The Predecessor: Lenovo Smart Clock

The first generation Smart Clock functions essentially like its successor. The user can ask it any question just by starting off with "Hey, Google." It can also be used as a nightlight and as a device to control a smart home.

It features an Amlogic A113X processor, Linux operating system, 512 MB memory, 512 MB Flash hard drive, and a 4" LED display.

Lenovo offers a one year warranty and has priced the smart clock at $49.99 on its website.
