"League of Legends" have recently announced the development of their massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) and Riot Games has appointed the move of "Scruffy" as its Game Director. Hailing from Riot's popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), Scruffy takes his leave after a long time as gameplay director.
While Scruffy is not exactly leaving, he would still be a part of the Riot Games team and continue his hand over "League of Legends," but would be dedicating his expertise and knowledge to a new game. This means that Riot Games have a lot in store and planned for the "League of Legends" MMORPG, which have been announced earlier this year.

'League of Legends' Scruffy is Moving to MMO Game
Riot Scruffy is also known as Mark Yetter, which has been the number one source for all patch notes and other insider information regarding the popular MOBA game, "League of Legends." Yetter was an icon for the MOBA game, as he continuously updated the information regarding its development, along with the early look on changes via Riot's developer blog.
It seems that Patch 11.8 was Yetter's last update for the fans and players of the MOBA, as he transitions to Riot Games' next phase of plans, and that is with the MMORPG which was revealed just this year. Earlier, the MMORPG was a highly-anticipated game from Riot, especially as they have promised the arrival of new games in the coming years.
Riot Games may have released a 5v5 character-based shooting game with "Valorant," and the mobile MOBA version of "LoL" with "League of Legends: Wild Rift," but that is not all to the games studio. The team has promised the arrival of new offers from them, and it is in the form of an MMO that takes place on "LoL's" lore.
Scruffy Departs After 8 Years on League MOBA
According to Mark Yetter's personal announcement via Twitter (@MarkYetter), he has been with "League of Legends's" MOBA team for eight years now, and this comes after the rise to prominence of the league. He revealed that he would be reuniting with the former "League of Legends" game designer Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street on the team.
Riot Scruffy said that this would be a new adventure for him, and is a massive opportunity for him to continue his work and bring the games to the fans and players who patronize it. The release date for the "League of Legends" MMORPG is still unknown as Riot has not yet announced it, and speculations have been saying that it would take more than a year to finalize it.
