Unplugged Performance (UP) used modified Tesla Model 3 in the All Japan EV Grand Prix and won against a Porsche Taycan Turbo S. Although the Taycan Turbo S was running on semi-slick tires, which are expected to make it faster, the modified Tesla Model 3 still proved that it is better than its competitor.

According to Electrek's latest report, the yearly All Japan EV Grand Prix is conducted to promote the development of electric vehicles. The event does this by allowing some of the best electric cars in the world to compete with one another.
Most of the participants use Tesla models. However, the new All Japan EV Grand Prix, which took place at Fuji Speedway, showcased a Taycan Turbo S.
The Porsche EV shows that it can reach 0 to 100 kilometers in less than three seconds. Tesla's competitor also demonstrated that it has the power to become one of the viable models in the popular race.
Why the modified Tesla Model 3 won the race
In the first part of the race, Porsche Taycan Turbo S has the upper hand, thanks to its speed.
However, UP's modified Tesla Model 3 is more consistent every lap, allowing it to beat Team Taisa's Porsche EV. Here are the changes that Unplugged Performance made in the popular Tesla Model 3:

UP said that the changes it made to the Tesla Model 3 cost around $20,000.

Aside from Unplugged Performance, there are also other companies that modify the famous Tesla Model 3. Motor Trend previously reported that the Evasive Motorsports also modified the Tesla EV, which is expected to compete in the Pikes Peak Hillclimb event.
