Elon Musk recently revealed that Tesla's Full-Self Driving (FSD) Beta is now at version 9.0, and its release would bring improvements to the autonomous driving system's cornering and bad weather situations. Moreover, the Tesla CEO also revealed that instead of the Tesla Autopilot, the FSD would power the tech for The Boring Company's venture in the Vegas Loop Tunnel.
Elon Musk: Tesla FSD Beta v9.0
Ever since Elon Musk's initial announcement of the Tesla FSD coming to the public, users and Twitter fans have been asking the CEO regarding its release to the public, which has been promised for late December 2020. However, this was never released to the public and remains as a selected public beta venture by the company, with only several having experienced it.
According to a question answered by Elon Musk via Twitter (@elonmusk), the Tesla Full-Self Driving Beta is now on version 9.0 and it brings several improvements to the autonomous driving feature from the company. This update for the users that have been able to receive it will get improvements on the vehicle's cornering abilities, as well as its adaptiveness to bad weather.
All of the improvements mentioned earlier are to compliment the performance of the vehicle and are mostly about the safety execution that it would soon bring to passengers as they use the feature on different conditions. Musk initially mentioned that the FSD is delayed as it aims to perfect its systems to provide full confidence when using it.

The Boring Company Vegas Loop Tunnel to Use FSD
Initial announcements regarding The Boring Company's Vegas Loop Tunnel were set to use the Tesla Autopilot to transport its passengers from the airport to the city's convention center without a driver. However, in recent developments, Elon Musk revealed that it would use the Tesla FSD under regulations to transport people in a matter of seconds in the underground facility.
Despite going at a regulated speed of 35 miles per hour, it can effectively bring people under minutes from the airport to the city's heart, safely and without the problem of traffic jams or stoplights. Currently, the Las Vegas City Loop is nearing its completion and several first-look clips and images have been released to marvel at the futuristic-looking tunnel system by The Boring Co.
The FSD in The Boring Co.'s Vegas Loop Tunnel EVs would provide a great testing area for the technology to go around and transport people from one stop to another, especially as it would extend in the coming years. While the Tesla FSD remains under secret for its public release, the development of Beta v9.0 suggests its arrival in the Tesla owner's hands.
